Things to know if you are planning for a Las Vegas Trip

Las Vegas is the most famous city of Nevada. Nevada is a state in the United States of America. This city is known as the entertainment capital of the world. It is the most stunning city which has amazing casinos, strip clubs, dance bars, restaurants and excellent shopping centers. This city is often known as the Sin city because is provides a number of adult entertainment facilities.

There are few basic things that you should know if you are planning a trip to Las Vegas. These tips will surely prove beneficial to you once you have landed in Las Vegas.

  • Las Vegas is a very expensive city. Try to save as much money as possible. If you are on a budget vacation then make sure you check into a cheap hotel which is located in the center of the city. This will help you in saving money because then you do not have to waste unnecessary money on hiring a car.
  • While planning for a trip to Las Vegas make sure that you carry some comfortable and strong walking shoes with your self. There are strong chances that you will spend most of your time walking on the strip or probably waiting in huge lines. Comfortable shoes will make you feel at ease and you will be able to enjoy your vacation in a better way.
  • Another most important thing to remember before taking a trip to Las Vegas is that you should bring along clothes that would suit the weather conditions of Las Vegas. Between the months of May and August the weather is extremely hot and between October and April the weather is usually cold. Make sure to check the weather conditions before making the trip. Knowing the weather conditions will help you to pack your bags accordingly.
  • If it is possible then you should avoid busy holiday seasons while planning a trip to Las Vegas. Las Vegas is a city which is visited by tourists all the year around. If you visit Las Vegas during the busy months then you have to pay high airfares, car rentals, hotels and entry fees. The city would also be heavily crowed at that time. Make sure to make your reservations much in advance.
  • You should do a through out search of the city and its main attraction before making a trip. Make sure that you know about the best deals and packages. If you are aware of the routes and life style of the city before coming to Las Vegas, it would help in saving much of your time and energy.
  • Las Vegas has a number of beautiful golf courses.

Tips for Enjoyable Budget Travel to Disney

Visiting Disney Land is a very popular choice of vacation for families who have children. You can have an enjoyable and enthralling time in Disney. But a trip to Disney is very expensive if you have not properly planned for it. Budget travel does not mean that you have a second class vacation. You will enjoy equally even if you are on a budget holiday.

We provide you with some useful tips that would help you greatly in having the most memorable and enjoyable time of your life. You will have a life time experience at Disney Land even if you are on a budget vacation.

1. Take a Disney vacation package
If you are planning to visit Disney land with your family it is best to take a Disney vacation package. These packages are very suitable for small families. They provide the consumer with all the facilities at much cheaper rates. Be sure to select the best available Disney package that would help you in making an enjoyable journey.

2. Airfares
If you are a budget traveler then you should do a through out market search to know when is it possible to get the cheapest airline tickets to Disney. You should know that air tickets to Orlando are quite affordable between January and February and between September and October.

3. Look for cheap accommodations
If you are a budget traveler then cheap accommodation should be your top priority. You have a number of accommodation choices even if you are on a budget vacation. There are many affordable resorts and campground which will provide you with the best facility at the cheapest rate.

4. Plan a trip during off reasons
If you are on a budget vacation to Disney then you should plan your trip during off reasons. During off seasons the airfares to Orlando are quite cheap and affordable. And Disney Land itself provides you everything on value rates. During off season it is less crowed and all the facilities are available at reasonable prices.

5. Take economical Disney transportation
While on a budget trip to Disney, take advantage of Disney buses, ferries and monorails while visiting theme and water parks. You can also take a trip down town Disney and visit Disney market place and authentic Disney visual cuisine at a much lower rate.

Review: Westin Hilton Head Resort

Westin Hilton Head ResortThis 4th of July weekend, we (along with my wife and daughter) went to Hilton Head Island, SC for a weekend getaway. Our lives were getting too hectic and breaking the routine was kinda important. So we decided to visit the island which was a 5 hour drive from Cumming, GA (suburb of Atlanta). Since we were not planning to do touristy stuff, the best way to enjoy was to stay in a resort. So that’s what we did. We decided on the Westin Hilton Head Resort. The price of the room per day was $350 including a $50 “resort fees”. Yeah it was pricey, but we wanted to pamper ourselves.

The drive was very comfortable and as we approached Hilton Head the scenery was just gorgeous. You could see all the major stores and restaurants that you would expect to see on a tourist town, but they were all tucked in behind beautiful palm trees and greenery.

We quickly checked in Westin since indoor parking was located conveniently and there were elevators to take us to the lobby.  The room was a good size and the KING bed was very comfortable.  Soon it was time for dinner and we decided to order Room Service. Of course the prices were a little steep , but hey, we were not here on a budget vacation. So I ordered a meat pizza and fish sticks for my daughter. When the food arrived, it was hot and pretty good.

Then we decided go down and explore the resort a little. There were 2 outdoor pools that full of vacationers and there were hotel staff giving out marshmallows to toast them in the fire, to make S’mores. That was awesome. We then moved on to go to the beach. It was just a few steps from the pool. It was quite windy, but it was very beautiful.

Once back in our room, we decided on going to bed early (It never happens when we are home).  Now for the annoying part. In our room, whenever the air conditioning turned off it made a clunking sound loud enough to scare my daughter. We didn’t report it though (which we should have done right then), since we were tired and just wanted to sleep and once asleep the noise didn’t really bother us.

The next morning we ordered some breakfast from Room Service. Eggs, bacon and some various breads including muffins, danish, toast etc. It was very good!

Later in the day we had spa appointments at the ‘Westin Heavenly Spa’ that I review in a later post.
