So you have decided to take a short break and you’re looking for some suggestions on where the best place is to take a City break in Europe. The good news is there’s many more than one; in fact Europe is littered with fantastic Cities in which to while away your time. As a seasoned traveller, it is my pleasure to introduce you to my top five short break Cities in Europe, all of which I have visited myself on a number of occasions. Six Tips to Preparing for a Winter Vacation

When you try to prepare for a vacation, you know it can get hectic. There are so many things you have to do and to prepare for. When you prepare for summer, there are fewer things you have to bring along. Yet, preparing for a winter vacation is the total opposite. You have to remember all sorts of stuff. Here are six tips to make sure that your winter vacation has everything you need.

Above all else, make a list of everything you need and want to bring as well as things that have to be done before you leave.

Chestnuts roasting on a Roman fire

One of my most vivid memories of my childhood in Italy is the smell of vendors selling warm chestnuts during wintertime. I guess the old song about chestnuts roasting on an open fire still rings true in Italy. To this day, you can wander the chilly winter streets of cities like Rome and buy a rolled up paper cone of warm chestnuts – a great little snack on a wintry day.
